New Environmental Accreditation

Enviro-Strip has added further to its accreditations by becoming certified to the international Environmental Management System standard BS EN ISO 14001:2004.

Additional Pyrolysis Furnace doubles throughput and enhances ‘Green’ credentials

Paint Stripping and de-contamination specialists Enviro-Strip have doubled their thermal incineration capacity by installing a second Pyrolisis Furnace.

Enviro-Strip managing director, Alan Duncan, says that the drop in chemical stripping plant usage as a result of switching to a pyrolysis furnace has cut chemical costs by several thousands of pounds per month, assisting the company’s expansion plans.

He also reports that the clean operation of the furnace has paved the way for changes in working practices; the health and safety of employees has also improved because of the reduction in chemical usage.

“Enviro-Strip can now demonstrate that paint stripping can be achieved in a clean and safe environment – in fact, an environmental consultant who visited the Tamworth facility said that he has never seen a contract cleaner’s site as clean as ours,” said Alan Duncan.
